Hello wanderer, welcome to the Entropic Abilities file. If you haven't already, I suggest you go read the About Me page to get a better understanding of what entropy and entropic abilities are. Those basic concepts are fundamental to understanding the complex rules of the classification system. The ability to see an entropic ability is connected to the ability to see the character file.
As I mentioned earlier, entropic abilities require an imagination in order to use the ability. At the very least, you have to be able to invision the way they want to use their ability. It's important to remember that the way that one uses their ability dictates how powerful they are. Not necessarily what the entropic ability is.
There are 3 basic scales that are crucial for classification:
1). Concrete vs. Abstract
2). Law Logic vs. Conceptual Logic
3). Physical Properties: components/characteristics/attributes.
Concrete vs. Abstract is the nature of the ability. Is the entropic ability concrete or abstract in nature?
Law Logic vs Conceptual Logic relates to the nature and extent of manipulation of the ability. Does the ablity follow the logic of scientific laws or does it have rules of its own? Does the weilder have a strong or weak imagination?
Physical properties relates to the manipulation and use of an entropic ability. To what degree does an entropic ability allow for the change and use of the physical attributes that make up the output of the ability?
I understand that this may all seem kind of...confusing. There is nothing that I can personally due to aide your understanding besides showing you different entropic abilities and how they work. Good luck, wanderer.
Class 1
Class 1 abilities are the most common. These abilities are concrete in nature. Aside from how they harness the ability, a weilder cannot do anything unnatural with it in terms of use making physical properties static. The weilder either lacks the imagination component or their ability doesn't allow for their own conceptualization. This is why basic elemental abilities or 'half' abilities are in this category.
Class 2
Class 2 abilities give a bit more leeway in terms of Law Logic, meaning that there are special exceptions. These abilities have static physical components and are still concrete in nature. Sometimes these special exceptions can give way for a secondary ability.
Class 3
Class 3 abilities are in the middle of abstract and concrete. While there are certain rules within the Law Logic that must be upheld, there is a good bit of room for the manipulation of physical properties and Conceptual Logic. The weilder can imagine their abilities doing things that doesn't usually follow the rules of science or logic.
Class 4
Class 4 abilities are more abstract than concrete. The ability mostly follows it's own rules and allow for a lot of Conceptual Logic as well as manipulation of physical properties. Sometimes, there may not even be physical properties that are a result of the entropic abilities output. This class of abilities cannot break 3 fundamental laws mentioned below in Class 5 outside of what their entropic ability allows for them to do. Because they cannot break those priniciples, that is what makes them Class 4 abilities.
